ABOUT THE ORGANISATION:
Prodigals’ Home (PH), established in 1990, is a Non-Governmental Organization, registered under the Registration of Societies Act 1860 (as amended vide Registration of Societies Act 1969). With its head office in Dimapur, Nagaland, operates in the North East of India.
Prodigals’ Home basically emerged to address the issue of drug abuse, treatment, and Rehabilitation of drug addicts and alcoholics. Over the years, the Organization has ventured into the fields of Community Health, Women and Child Development, Rural Development, Research and Documentation and facilitation of Grass Root organizations in the region of North East India.
With the rising needs and challenges of the society, the Organization strived and continues to strive towards addressing issues of social, economic and health concerns. The organization gradually took up baseline surveys in various areas, research, documentation, and publication with the objectives to facilitate appropriate planning, policy making, and strategies that could lead to positive outputs, both at state and regional levels. “Sustainable Development and equitable social order through people’s participation” as its Vision/Mission, the organization creates and disseminates the means for sustainable livelihood, proper management of resources, promote health and environment.
In pursuance of its Vision, Mainstreaming andEmpowerment of Vulnerable and Marginalized Women and Children, Education, Advocacy, Management of both Human and Natural Resourcesare presently some major concerns of the Organization.
Over the years the Organization has experienced, learned and proven that with collective efforts and support from various sections of community, each of us have the power to move toward for the growth and development of our Society.
