Project objective<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Situational assessment of self-reliant Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)\u00a0 (self-employed and entrepreneurs)<\/em> and potential PwDs for skilling in select districts of Nagaland<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enhance skills and capacity of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) for income generation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Promote self-employment and entrepreneurship of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Convergence with Govt and Non-Govt agencies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Conducted baseline survey of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) who are self-employed, entrepreneurs and having potential to be skilled and employed<\/td> <\/td><\/tr>
    Compilation and analysis of baseline survey report<\/td>100 PwDs with potential for skilling and 28 PwDs who are self-employed or earning from Jobs were interviewed<\/td><\/tr>
    Compiled a Resource Directory of schemes and training centres for PwDs<\/td> <\/td><\/tr>
    Facilitated in getting Aadhaar Cards for PwDs whose mobility is compromised  <\/td>Post publication of a news report through media fellowship of the Project, Officials from regional office of UDAI (Aadhaar), Guwahati called up and asked to list PwDs needing Aadhaar but not able due to their disability and immobility. They enrolled 14 PwDs free of cost from their respective homes. The cost, as per UDAI guidelines is Rs. 700 per person for enrolment at home. <\/td><\/tr>
     Linked 8 Visually Impaired individuals to Computer Training<\/td> (Certificate in Computer Education \u2013 8 months duration) <\/em>in collaboration with Incessant Welfare Society Training Centre registered under Skill Development & Initiatives Scheme (SDIS) and approved by Government of Nagaland, Directorate of Employment, skill Development & Entrepreneurship<\/td><\/tr>
    Linked a person with Locomotor disability for basket making training<\/td>The lady is being trained by a visually impaired lady who received training earlier from a training conducted by Prodigals\u2019 Home<\/td><\/tr>
